Brian W. Aldiss

Distinguished speculative fiction writer and SFWA Grand Master, Brian also writes contemporary novels, poetry, essays, and drama. He's a noted SF historian and critic whose body of work has been published worldwide.

The Brian W. Aldiss Official Web Site (maintained by Jim Goddard) - read three new Aldiss short stories, a vignette, and excerpts from Super-State and The Cretan Teat. There is a complete bibliography, time line, news, awards, guest book, bookstore, links, and much more at this comprehensive tribute to one of the greatest writers of our time. Several extremely limited editions are only available on the web site. And perhaps best of all are the examples of Brian's brilliant critiques and analyses, such as "The Referee of the War of The Worlds," on the work of H.G. Wells.

Brian is currently working on an ambitious novel, the working title of which is The Walcot Novel.

Candas Jane Dorsey

Candas's novel Black Wine was published by Tor Books (New York) in January of 1997 and in March it won the IAFA Crawford Fantasy Award for best fantasy novel of the year. It also received the James Tiptree Jr. Memorial Award in 1998, was a runner-up for the WGA Novel Award, and the 1998 Prix Aurora Award (Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Award) for Best Long-Form Work in English. She has six other published books and numerous publications in anthologies and collections.

Robert Killheffer

Robert used to be the head programmer at Omni Internet where he lead the entire redesign of their Internet infrastructure. Prior to that he was a science writer for Omni Magazine focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Translation. Rob has written on medicine, computers, computer culture, and learning algorithms for such publications as The Washington Post, Newsweek, and Publishers Weekly. Rob holds a B.A. in History and Computer Science from Yale University. He's edited several publications, including Omni Magazine, Event Horizon, and Century.

Robert's magazine Century is currently on hiatus, but the Official Web Site is operating. You can order copies of previous issues, check the guidelines and news of the upcoming revival of the magazine, and read about the tragic death of Jenna Anne Felice, Rob's friend and life partner.     • Worked for many years with Ellen Datlow, editing and web designing at Omni Magazine and Event Horizon
    • Has done reviews for F&SF, and The New York Review of Science Fiction, and moderated chats with the likes of Vernor Vinge.
    • And he loves pigs. In doubt for a birthday ... give him a piggy bank!

Robert is currently working to revive his acclaimed magazine, Century.

Lucy Sussex

Lucy is an Australian/New Zealand science fiction, fantasy, horror, crime, and children's literature writer, editor, and researcher. Among her works are two children's books, The Penguin Friend (1997) and The Peace Garden (1989), two young adult books, Black Ice (1996) and Deersnake (1995), and an adult novel, The Scarlet Rider (1996). Her short fiction is widely distributed, and many of her works are collected in My Lady Tongue (1990). She is also an editor of four anthologies, one of which, She's Fantastical (1996), was up for the World Fantasy Award.
